Hey all,

Any reason I can't use these rings with one of my old 78.5mm Wiseco pistons?

I have a question.
Are you sure it's not an original oddy piston ?
The originals were Art pistons and they had tapered rings.

If it is a wiseco piston then the one from DennisKirk would probably work.
The LK at the end of that ring code means --
L - means it's been notched for the pin in the ring groove
K- means Chromed ring

The ring set from the Vintco site has NO INFO so I would take a pass or phone them.
To me Vintco means vintage so it's possible the profile on these rings may be wrong.
Piston rings have several profiles and coatings.
For example a code with an H , B , or R
H means outside edge chamfered
B means barrel face
R means radius outside edge
There is more, so you see it can be complicated.
Verify your piston and then drop a dime on a phone call.

It's a vintage Wiseco piston I believe. The only markings on the piston are a 'TD' and an arrow on top, and a 'W' and 533 where the wrist pin goes underneath.

The arrow would point towards the exhaust.
I don't know what the other numbers or letters mean.

Edit: I just looked it up and the only reference I could find in my info on the "TD" is that it indicates that it's a two stroke ring 1.2mm (.047")
Two chrome-faced high temperature steel alloy, internally notched compression ring,
for use on Cast-iron, Nikasil and Electrofusion Liners.
