I moved my 420/350 for the first time since Dennis got Ol Blue from Jerry. As you may remember, I had the very low engagement 102C clutch installed along with huge agressive tires which bogged the Engine for several tanks of gas for that trip. During that time, the compression went from 90 to 135 lbs. I ass-u-me that it caused a good reseating of the rings. I put my 22" Spder traks and the high stall(purple spring w/C-1 cams) back on. Anyway, when I moved it from where it was parked. I desided to get on it hard after it warmed up a bit. It pulled the front tires off the ground for several feet on level ground and on dirt too. I did it several times in a row just to make sure. I was pretty impressive for a 350 at 6,000ft. The wife didn't thick it was quite as cool as I did after she seen the yard where I did it. LMAO Just wanted to brag a little.

Hopefully Works shocks will help some in the suspension dept, but it will eat most pilots for breakfast drag racing or climbing(in theory anyway). There are none up here to play with. I just have to watch my ass in rough terrain, LOL.

I WILL get a Pilot someday, just not in a military budget with 3 kids. I have a grand total of $1500 in the 420 including the machine, but countless man hours of labor(blood, sweat, tears). I like it that way, I know every inch of it.

I heard that a picture is worth a thousand words......

Glad to hear it is running well, ever figure out the compression deal? That was really strange.

How is the "Pilody" coming, haven't seen much of that lately.

Hi Jerry, The 600EFI is on the floor just waiting to be shoe horned in. Elk and deer bow season starts next weekend soooo..........it may be this winter before it get started, but that is what I wanted anyway. Something to do over the winter. Any timeline for the new Drak? I will get Fed to snap a picture if he comes out this weekend. Its just a foot or so off the ground, but not bad. I need to try some pavement! Probably going to break something soon...axle,tranny,ect. LOL

Cool !

Like Jerry says get some pics or video!

I assume your going to run it another 10-20 hrs then take apart to see what it looks like again?

Coolant problem solved?

Retorque them head bolts again you only burn up a O ring when it sees a flame so either its lifting the head or your head and cylinder deck is not flat, I would start with the torque check.

Work have a digital torque wrench you can borrow if so I would check then maybe add 2 lbs more torque just for the heck of it.

The first projection was mid September, like everything else, it is running a bit behind, hopefully by the end of September.

I was going to keep a very close eye on the compression for any signs of loss. I put a helicoil in the jug and it fixed that problem(knock on wood!).
Your right, I probably should go back and retorque the head. Probably should just replace the studs and nuts too, who knows how many times they have been stretched and some of the threads on the studs are getting humble.

Probably only going out another time or two before winter. I might do the secret squirrel stroker 500 trick this winter to it but I hate to tear into it if she is running this good now. I know, I know, it has a piston balance issue and it will self destruct that worn out piston very soon! LOL I did alot of redneck head and top of jug lapping so I am positive the mating surfaces are true, maybe...LMAO! I'll take some good pictures when i dis assemble her again looking for blowby and such.

I have several torque wrenches, but thanks anyway. I may have you do the next bore job on my 420, if you are still "In the boring Business". You can check out the port work, polishing and roof angles. Works very well too. I did alot of polishing and reshaping in the transfer, intake, and exhaust port work but didn't change anything in the cylinder port sizes or shapes.

If Fed comes out, I'll see what I can do for pics and video clips.

My computer at home is jacked up. I am on at work now. I think one of the kids changed something by accident. I can get emails but that's it. I get an error when ever I try to go to a website. It says to check internet setting, but I do not know what to look at. There are rows of boxes, some checked, some not. I can not even go to the peoplepc.com home page to ask for help. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. Virus? Punt(like the Broncos)? LOL
