I forgot this was on my camera, I found it bouncing around inside my stock fuel tank... I can't find it in a parts manual (honda) so I will try to discribe it it is lat and has a lead wieght about the size of a fuse. It has a small shining spot on the end with the one tab???
I am stumped...

Harescam has a new tank maybe he can look inside to see what it is, I thought all the lines in the tank were steel.

This may be hard to explain but I will try. That rod is the piece that fuses the screen at a seam. You used to have a very fine tubed screen that keeps crap from entering your fuel system. Your screen is long gone and that is what is left. The solid part (the fuse looking thing) separated the "ON" position and "RES" position on the petcock. The two tubes, on and reserve inlets, are connected by this piece that you fished out of your tank. I have.....5 fuel tanks and yes I know what the hell I am talking about.....This isn't really clear but I tried..

Thanks and a fine job you did...
I think my reserve switch is still funcional, I know I have run it done that low a few hundred yards from the house...I hope I can try to remember to try the reserve next time. Last time my blonde hair got in the way.. Do I need a new petcock valve???
Again Thanks
