We were talking about it in chat tonight and I said I would start this thread to share some pics I have filed away for reference on future projects. I do not know where I got all these so if you are upset about your machine being posted, I will delete your pic. I have seen a few questions recently about this subject. I also added some pics of the led tail lights and brake lights. It kinda goes with the subject too.

I know that 350s can power 2 extra 55 watts in addition to the stock 25/55 watt ones. I tried a pair of big 130 watt light on the 420 but it can't drive them correctly.

Feel free to add more pics and info if you have some.

Gary

now that salada lights. :) When I was a kid the ice tea commercial was salada tea...

I found (and was advised at ECJ) the over head lights on my FL350 would be trouble with wash out on my feet / front end. Since then I've tried to push the mount points as forward as possible.

When I return home I'll make and take pics of a power relay hook up for the hop up. That way we can use the stock harness to as the signal to the relay and the relay power IN leads goto battery power. For low beam its easy to signal from the rear running light. For high beam only I will need to consult my manuals/notes.

Right, IMO the best place or most effective place for more lights is in front of the front bumper...

I agree with most of that, but I really liked the lights on the roof for night dune rides. It lit up the dunes shadowed back sides and over humps that you couldn't see with lower mounted lights. 350s are a little shy on suspension compared to Pilots and Drakarts so I want to see how steep the next dune is before I fly off it. Try following Lightspeed's Drak or Dennis's LT Pilot at high speed through LS Ok at night in a 350 with stock suspension. Scared the S**T out of me. They do not survive well upon rolls up there.

Fed mounted some small PIAA lights just under his 350 roof. He said it lit up his feet and foot tub(wash) so bad that he was having trouble seeing out well.

Gary :-)

Yes good point. For me we're in the woods and sneaking under trees and branches.

Just some cheap lights from wal-mart. used the roof to hold them on, if they ever get loose I will put on some bolts to hold them on better.

I bought the same ones.

I mounted them on the metal hood I made for my Ody.

FYI: I used SS Cushion Clamps from West marine for when I mounted my light up above.
You can get them in a large enough size to wrap the tubing.

Here are my not so bright wallly world lights... I picked them because they resemble the rectangular stock lights... I did run them thru the rear lights and never liked the performance... Should have went the proper route and directly wired tot he Battery...
