I know I have to adjust for my own variables, but where do you all think a good starting point for a 35mm PWK on an Ody with open intake and an exhasut system is? The carb came with a 60 slow jet and a 148 main (seems a little strange...). Should I start with a 155 main and a 55 slow? TIA!!

Its always better to start big and work down smaller.

cant be of much help, think my 34mm has a 142 main and my 39mm has a 160 main and both are about dead on. Stock slow jets in both.

60 is way large-50 min, I have run 45's as well -depending on Engine mods etc I have usually run a 152 with dual air inlets on mine.Remember to take the idle spring off and cut a very slight bit off it-it will never idle well if you do not do this.

Good point--I remember reading that here before, but I didn't do it when I went through it last night. A coil? Less? More? Thanks!

you are right, I think 160 is what came in it stock, I think I have a 155 in there now. havent messed with the idle spring though, which is that on the PWK? The one on the screw?

I'll start with a 155 main and a 48 slow (that's the largest I have right now, other than the 60) and see where that puts me. This is for my "skunkworks" Fl350. The one I just acquired is a bit nicer, but much more stock. Here's a pic:

yes the 1 on the screw-I would take a max of 2 coils off it-start with 1 and if needed take 2-you'll see the difference immed when you take the little bit off.I love the adjustability of the 35mm hope you do as well.It is a great carb for trails but still can provide a good top end pull as well, not as good as a 38-39 but enough for woods riding.

I just saw that buggy on craigslist forsale did you just buy it? As for jetting I would run a 45 slow/pilot jet. Is there any porting done? If so start with a 160 or 165 main jet. Then work your way down. If its stock internals then it will prolly end up close to a 158 or 155. Keep us informed.

Fly through a mud hole at high speed, then you will have dirty.
