When turning off the on off knob to shut the fl250 down the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) keeps running.....until you give it a blip of throttle. I know ive seen this here before but cant seem to find it under search. This thing is a blast in the snow.

Sounds like detonation to me.

Engine is so hot the plug or carbon buildup is glowing and keeping it running until you load it up with enough fuel to cool it down.

You need to figure out what the problem is, we need a full detail description of exactly what and when is happening.

How long you had this ODY just start happening?

Fresh gas?

Last rebuild was?

The more info and details you give us the more we can help you. :-)
