Looks great, I have some ready to go. I guess no one will know the effects of the short pin until running the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) and just seeing how it holds up.

Looking at your specs from your other post

viewtopic.php?t=7184

the 81-4 atc 250r has the shorter pin length of 56mm, seem like in that post you were wanting to use a cr250 rod kit .. any reason why the ATC kit was used instead ?

note nobody make a rod kit for the fl350

as i seen with the right parts yet

this is what Honda used

Rod center to center = 125.3 mm

big end pin length 62.56 mm not available any more

stock Honda thrust washers 1.2mm Thick

so you are go to get thicker thrust washer or a shorter pin

THE PRO-X ROD kit for the cr25r 84-01 my come with the longer pin 59.6 mm and the 1.2 mm thick thrust washers
talked to Rocky Mountain http://rockymountainatv.com and they clarified the sizes

So as of right now if you see a rod kit for a fl350 watch what you are getting as noted above

Do you have any 10-32 set screws about 1/4" long? If so can you throw 3 of them in with the crank, they hold the cutter on my boring bar and the hex is getting warn on them, I have all kinds of 10-24 and a bunch of 10-32 cap screws just no set screws for some reason...

Thanks

big hammer :)

but yes it is amazing how easy is to move the run out on a new pressed together crank
but some time it a pain because you my be fighting a .001 back and forth

lead hammer or a dead blow seem to do the trick tho

I use to have a magazine article from the 70's or early 80's that showed in detail how to adjust a crank I wish I could find it, I looked all over and cant find it, anyways they had a series of soft face hammers they used, lead, brass, rawhide, plastic face dead blow... A different weight hammer was used depending on how much adjustment was required.

Crankshaft arrived via USPS no shipping damage as usual perfect professional packing by Speedchaser I am saving the box and all the packing materials to send you a few more cranks in the future...

Just took a quick look at it everything looks ok I will look it over good before installing tomorrow.

That is the crank Stix sent that he questioned the rust on the small end of the rod and I was skeptical about the big end I am glad we condemned that rod assembly it would not have lasted very long if run in that condition (more pics later of old rod) and redskinman would have ended up pissed off for sure.

Here is the crank installed in Redskinman's 350 bottom end ready for action, sorry about the crappy pic.

I cant help you with the pics.
I still havent used this crank,which is a good thing,i'm still using the complete Engine I bought off ebay for less than 300 bucks shipped{it had a jb weld spot on it and that must have scared off all the bidders}
So I still have this rebuilt bottom end along with a new top end on the shelf when this Engine does go :-)
