Hoser rebuilt this Engine and went through the entire thing so it will run better then it looks. I have nothing to worry about ;) you have to know how to drive a pilot on a race track. You can over drive one if its longtravel and end up running slower then stock.

Looks good Shoubadaba,

Brings back the Fl800 shoe horn days. :-) working on the Wildcat I felt like Carnegie hall compared to the Pilot Engine bay. Interested in where are you planning to put the fuel tank?

It needs to be huge cause shoubadaba designed it to run on rocket fuel. I will need to stock up on axles

I almost wrapped this pilot up 3 weeks ago but was waiting on a fuel cell to be made. Well the guy who I hire to build it flaked and said he couldnt do it by this weekend so I went to Kartek and got a 4.3 gallon fuel cell and made a craddle for it and got it wrapped up. Jordan just needs to wrap up the electricle and get an air filter snd fill all fluids and shes ready to go. Here is the pics of the finished product.

How did you get the Engine so clean. I have one I'm needing cleaner than it is.

I also fabricated the 90 degree coolant adapter you see above the air box adapter.

Nice work Rusty! Finally someone used a fuel cell other than those doofy round alumium ones!

Cant wait to see the phazer install! I'm sure you know to leave room on the back for the pipes,it gets tight real quick!

Phazer + plus pilot chassis = driving a ball bearing! Ha...gonna be a blast!

Thanks bull. As for the exhaust the pipes come out about an inch above the tranny. that's what is so awesome about the pilots tranny its low profile. The Engine is sitting as low as it can go and sits perfectly a half inch off of the bottom rails of the frame and that is the stock pilot belt with a pilot powerbloc installed on it. Right now were looking for someone to cnc a few mounts for the stock fuel pump and fuel gauge assembly to get the fuel tanks made then onto the airbox. I need 4 of each cnced piece since 4 pilots will be converted like this

Rusty think you could make up a pipe or show where you made the mounts and cuts at? Also any info on the gas tank and these fuel pump mounts would be great. Come December my pilot is getting the 583 and when I tried welding an exhaust last I burned a hole in it :-/

The fuel pump is part of the watercraft carbs so no external pump is needed on the 583. I was refering to bull about the phazer conversion Im doing with pro-pilot-popper. The Pipe was cut in four places. Its was the one sent with the farr offroad kit I can do another one no problem but would need andother 583 pilot in my shop to build it off of that's the only problem. I didnt make any kind of jig I just cut the pipe apart and started at the y-pipe and put the pieces together and tacked them in then removed it and fully welded it up. It mounts to the stock pilot mounts. The pipe is a very tight fit but it does fit with a 1/4 inch of room between the heat shield and pipe. The tank was from Kartek. I walked in with a measurement of 12x11x10 inches and was looking for the biggest tank to fit the hole. I think its a jaz fuel cell or jpr or something measures 12 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 9. it only fit on this pilot because of the cage being different. I don't know if it will fit on a stock cage. It might though
