A few hours ago 3 board members myself and wheels finished rebuilding his #69 1989 honda pilot. 4 weeks ago Wheels was racing his pilot in the dirt series out here in Cali. and he took a mean tumble after jumping a table top and landing sideways. He landed sideways and rolled the car 5 times sideways and totaled it. Every plastic was trashed 2 front ball joints in his front arms we bent the front right spindle was bent 3/4's of an inch. The roll cage was twisted to the left and therear suspensi. were tacoed. The frame was "s" bent the front arm mounts were moved 1 inch to the left and the rear Engine cradle was twisted to the left by 3 inches. I was able to get a great deal from Socalgii for a lower frame. Big thanks to Dave-Co for donating a complete stock rear suspension and to halorising for donating a complete set of plastics, front rims, and roll cage. And propilot popper for donating a left front fender and his time nickrnr for his time. All this last week I cut out all of the racing tabs and fixtures from steves wreck to be transplanted to the new frame. I installed all the tabs and a new radiator relocation system as well as his beard racing seat tabs. Also the tab for his fuel cell. I then oreped the complete frame and primered and painted it. We started at 8:40 saturday morning and had a few hickups with bent parts I didnt forsee (thanks front right upper a-arm and spindle) So I had to bend them back to get the frontend adjusted correctly. It was nice that he has the adjustable stock replacement front arms from atvr. We timelapst the whole build and will have it for you guys soon. We finished at 11:20 pm an d heres some pics

Start to finish was 15 hours. But we had some hickups. The a-arm bend sucked because I had to squeeze are upper a-arm back a half inch so it would fit correctly into the new frame. Not being able to use heat I had to use a heavy duty strap and rachet it to an inch and a quarter smaller so it would settle in the correct spot. Then after dicking with the toe and camber propilotpopper pointed out that the upper spindle mounts didnt match on both sides so after a few measurements I found that the spread between the upper and lower balljoint mounts the left side was wider by 3/4 of an inch. Swith a little nudjung from a vise then a few taps with a sledge hammer it was correct again. Then the brakes were a knightmare. Wheels went with Halo to his house to pick up his surprise plastics for him we tried to blead the brakes not realizing wheels had chnged the brake functions from front on the left and the rear on the right to suit him better so we were trying to bleed the front with the right like usual but couldnt get any presure. Well he came back and all was solved. Car is straight and new so he is ready to hit the track again on the 8th to try and beat us again.
We got together to help Wheels out. We know its hard to do stuff like this on our own fast. But when you add in a deadline of a few weeks to the next race and bring in a wheelchair it get very difficult. So we banded together to hangout and work on our passions have a great time and rebuild 1 bad ass pilot so Steve can get out and enjoy his passion with us. Hes an awesome person and we were happy to hook suck a nice cool person up. Go kick ass Steve

Well done to all,awesome spirit.
That Pilot might be the worst I've ever seen damage wise?
Seems like it did a few rounds in concrete mixer truck's drum?
A mate of mine used to run the #69
Said it was the same # upside down,as when right side up...he rolled a lot.

Yeah I tried but the quality didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. I can't emphasize it enough you gotta have fast memory cards in order for your GoPro video's to turn out. Mine need to be replaced soon
