Hello Gregg, I used the stock FL350 headlight brackets. They worked out great, I did have to wrap some tape around the original rubber to tighten the brackets up enough so they do not move.

Thank you Gregg and Jim for your kind remarks.

Have a great night.

Hello to all, well first off SHE RUNS. Fired her off yesterday, idles perfect with no adjustments so far. I have only done two heat cycles, had a heck of a time reworking the exhaust then I get it on and fire her off and the darn silencer is leaking like a siv out of its housing. I had to take the silencer back off and cut the rivets to pull out the end and reseal, I used copper high heat silicone to seal the end that should have been sealed from the factory. It is a big gun silencer by the way, brand new. I hope it holds, I am letting it set 24 hrs.

The wiring worked out perfect, everything works the only thing I did not hook up is a reverse light. The wires are there if I want to add one later.

Here are some pics, I will get some more as I get the other things put on. It should go much faster now, I am starting on the crank case breather this morning and hope to have the seat in by tonight.

Have a great day.

The first pic. is of some new oem air dams and new oem headlight buckets, I got them put on today.

I also finished the crankcase breather and installed the seat today.

I used a brass transmission cooler line adaptor fitting for the crankcase breather, I cut it down and cut new threads 14mm x 2.0. I then took a 1/4 brass nipple and screwed it in to the fitting and saudered it.

The breather hose is inside some spark plug wire heat shield.

One more pic. with the pilot seat installed, I bought an air suspension seat from Randy for my wifes pilot and was going to put it in the odyssey for my son but after setting it in there it looked like it would be another big under taking to get it put in so I went with a pilot seat for him. I may in the future get him a better seat.

Does any know what suspension seat will go in the odyssey, will a beard seat fit?

Hello to all, other than the decals, re-torquing all bolts, touch up on the paint and putting the digitron gauges on she is done. I finished her on the morning of the 4th. but have not had time to post some pictures.

I am going to break her in and astablish a wet line in the exhaust before adding the digitron gauges.

I took her out for her first ride yesterday, wanted to get on her bad but held my thumb at bay. By the end of the day I was doing half throttle short bursts man does she run and ride great. I started with a 185 main jet it may be to big but I wanted to be sure and start out fat, I will be taking her out next weekend to finish the break in and see how she does so far no problems. Everthing works perfect even the fuel level sensor.

I am using the Honda GN2 non synthetic mix oil for the break in, after break in I will be running Honda HP2 full sythetic mix oil.

I can not wait to open her up.

Take care.

Randys "better" seat will bolt right in. The only problem is theres no bottom skid plate. I had one made up at a metal fabrication shop. It doubles as the heat shield. Hope this helps and your PilOdyssey really looks great!

Stix you need to find some good closed cell foam padding to put between your keister and that skid... My skid drops lower than youts does and I have bottomed my tailbone once on mine... The extra padding will prevent that!

Hello Stix, thank you for the pics. That is the exact seat that I bought from Randy, I sat the seat in there and decided it was to much more work at the time. I will check it out later when I hook up my gauges.

Thank you guys and take care.

"closed cell" foam padding, meaning it wont soak up water?? Where would I find that? I need to get some as I can feel the skid plate if I push down on the seat hard enough. THanks bud!

closed cell is more termed at impact dissapation not really water proof! When I was younger I used to make one of the first bull riding vest in the country i had a source here in San Antonio, but that was 15 years ago!!
I will see if I have any here at home left over from the saddle shop, but I doubt it!!!

Any time I have dealt with "closed cell" foams it was in the way of gaskets and it was in the specs as "closed cell" so it would not pass liquids I have no idea how water proof it was but it was not open cell like a sponge was.

Foams come is all kinds of different densities and many seats use different densities stacked up to give different supports.
