Took the buggy on the inaugural big run today. Went through two stationary heat cycles. Next, spent 30-min just putting around. And then thought I had an air leak, but then discovered the adjust nut atop the carb had come unscrewed. Adjusted the idle, tightened the not, and then she was fine. I lost two head pipe heat shield screws and the left rear Engine mount bolt (prob weren't tight). And the battery tray screws came loose. I righted everything, and retorqued the head nuts.

Then...I rode 1.5 tanks of fuel and had more fun than I have had in like 10years!!! :). This...thing...hauls...balls!! The EGT never went over 1280'F on WOT (Wide Open Throttle) runs up and down the road. Speedo had me at 66mph at the fastest, but my gps said 54. Radiator system was flawless. Shifting was great. Bump steer was fine. 94c clutch engagement us perfect.

Vid of it running...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTntt8Ff3kQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player

The only complaints are...

[1] those tires don't hook up great in snow. I'd hit a patch of grass, dirt, or road and I'd slingshot.
[2] I broke my pull start rope. Battery was weak when I got there, and on the 4th pull I broke the chord.

Then my old man, 63, took it for a spin. Yep...he wants one now! Haa

Awesome machine! Now I'm equally addicted to building and riding. :)

Looks great. Could you tell me a little more detail on how you wired the water cooling system? Hose routing? I'm building mine with a yfz450 radiator right now and I don't know where to start with plumbing and wiring. I'd like the water pump to come on with the key and have the fan work automatically. Did you use the temp warning switch for anything on your radiator? Thanks
