Speed-on the outer edge of each carreir the hub slides onto the axle and into the seal, you do not need the dimensions on the axle, hub, etc for anything correct, the seal itself should be enough since the hub itself slides into it correct?Heres a view of what I am speaking of from the rear of my PROJECT PILOT.I have a spare hub I can send over to you for fitment if needed.

Well time to weld for this application I am using silicon bronze filler rod for the build up of the bearing area. It will mix with the cast steel housing and should not cause hard spots in the casting

Hello speed I have a few questions. I never done that before so I was worndering if you have to heat the cast piece and weld while hot so the weld would take with out making the cast brittle or is do to the thickness of the cast piece. My welds always look all hacker like, I mean like a bubble gum patch. Next question would be heating it up like that would it cause any warping of the piece or is that the reason for slow cool down. I really enjoy watching you work. It make me want to go get new tools but I woudn't know how to use them. I quess I will just druell for know. By chance close to wichita ks I like tours. Thanks for any input you throw my way. Sometimes just knowing the right way and why makes the biggest diff. |
