Here is more info on the ball joint boots as a replacement, today MGR and I took a stock
Honda boot off for inspection and it looks like the replacement boots that http://rickystator.com/ sells
will be a direct replacement for the stock arms.

I will let MGR fill in the rest of the details I am just the picture guy haha

Hey Hoser - any idea whether these will also fit rear ball joints? If not, does Rickt Stator make one to fit rears??

The front and rear honda grease/dust boots are the same. You can find them at www.lsracing.com I'm sure there are other places that handle them. This joint is used by the aftermarket a-arm companies all the time, LSR has them for $7.00

On the replacement ball joint from ricky stator what does the base of the ball joint where the boot seats look like? Is it machined flat like the OEM joint in the first picture or is it grooved or machined concave?

I used OEM Honda boots, but had trouble finding a good way to attach them (the super glue is still holding :-) ) I tried to use saftey wire similar to the ring/wire on the ricky stator replacement but couldnt get it to hold on the OEM joint. It just slipped off when tightened up.

What is the ring/wire on the replacement joint? Is it just wire or a special clip that came with the boot?

First this joint is not a replacement joint for a pilot. If you have found oem boots just use them.

I can see the ricky stator Joint is not for a Pilot, but you are saying the boot would fit a Pilot joint. I am asking how the Ricky Stator boot attaches to the joint. I can see in the picture there is a ring or wire of some sort but what does the joint look like under the boot? Is there a groove cut in or is it machined concave.

You can see in the first picture of the OEM joint it is machined smooth, flat. If the ricky stator boot was used what would the wire grip to??? The OEM boot is pressed on similar to an oil seal

I have OEM honda boots, but not from a Pilot. There was a thread about this weeks ago with the OEM number and pictures. The boot is set up to have a ring attaching it to the base of the joint, but as I mentioned there is no place on the joint where the wire would grip.

Someone asked me for the part number for the rubber boot that will work on the stock Pilot A-arms. It is a Honda automobile part - not motorcycle - so it is a blue label number.
The part # is 53546-611-310. The circlip for it is 53548-611-003
