Their is a metal washer below the seal also

You can now see the metal bearing in the center of the seal holder once the washer is removed.

The dust seal is removed carefully with a screwdriver then reinstalled with a hoser Pilot rear shock seal driver, I wish I had 10 bux for every tool I have made over the years lol

The seal goes on easy

Next the seal goes in groove side up, it pushes in by hand

the washers were different sizes in the seal assembly there was a thin one in one shock and a thicker one in the other the outer washers were the same size has any one come across of this before ?
