South of Vegas their is a dry lake called "Eldorado Dry Lake Bed" more info here http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/trai ... e_e0f6.htm

I parked at Eldorado Dry Lake Bed then rode North/West towards Vegas its a 43 mile ride its not all that great some parts of the trail is more like rock crawling than anything else, the closer you get to town the more junk you see on the trails typical desert dumping stupidity.

Your mostly on power line pipe line service roads then their is trails that branch off.

Its a trip to make if you want the whole 'riding in the Vegas area' experience.

"Eldorado Dry Lake Bed" more info here http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/trai ... e_e0f6.htm

This was a 92 mile ride starting from Eldorado Dry Lake Bed then to Jean Roach Dry Lake then South to Primm NV.

More GREAT desert riding following power line and pipeline service roads with many trails that branch off, cross the mountains, follow part of the desert race course.

109 mile ride from Eldorado Dry Lake Bed South to 164 close to Searchlight area, 164 is also known as Nipton road.

Their is a lot of trails left in this area left to explore, bet I didnt see 50% of the area trails.

In the next post you will see where I later relocated to just off 164 and parked on Walking Box Ranch Road where you can ride to and INTO California if you like.

Here are some pictures of the ride http://www.pilotodyssey.com/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=83

As described in my last post here is a 66 mile ride I parked just off 164 on Walking Box Ranch Road, this was a day trip not sure if you can park their over night how ever if you drive down 164 West a few miles on the Right side their is a place you turn into then drive back about a mile and you can camp, will update this info at a later date.

Careful you can end up in California really easy not sure what the rules are in CA for these trails assume they are same as NV and ok for ATV's their was no signs of any kind I didnt know I was in CA until I got back to the RV and loaded this file on Google Earth and seen the border, I know in CA you need the OHV sticker or GREEN sticker what ever it is.... Your in the middle of no where I only seen ONE other person on the trail all day long he as a old timer in a Toyota pickup who was looking for mine sites, actually revisiting old mine sites he had checked 30 years ago for artifacts.

Need to go back to this place and check out the rest of the trails.
