with the key off it steers the same as it did without the unit installed.

Does it burn you leg having the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) exhaust so close.
Is the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) fuel line routed as not spill on you in cse of damage or rollover.
What is you ring end gap and piton to wall clearence on that motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )).
What bore is your motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) on.

Heck I'm all confused now.

Well, in this case, the word M.O.T.O.R. is being used correctly, since we are talking about an electric-motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) for the power steering unit. LOL

that's rare on this site when the word sensor is wrong in this case it is shame because 99% of the time someone says m o t o r (Internal Combustion Motor) they are using the WRONG WORD haha

But don't take my word for it go read your owners and service manual lol

I took the Drakart over to King Shocks for fitting and they had it for a week. They said the way it was set up was fine and we didnt need to move the mounts. My shocks should be done tomorrow.

Ok, scratch the project and start over.lol love the power steering but don't like the slow steer and the bearings in the unit are slopy and steering wheel moved around too much. So i got a steering quickner 1.5 to 1 and i didnt care for the foot pedals so im installing a pilot wheel. Pics will follow

Didnt Spcled1 have a Drakart already setup like this he was selling, Pilot hand controls converted?

I used the Howe 2:1 Stealth SQ,it ends up the same lock turns as the Pilot yoke setup, if not an ant's fart quicker.
The 1.5:1 will turn a bit farther than this.
I would be going the 2:1 Stealth model if I was EWE :shock: :-)

Here's some early pics I found when moding the 02 Drak.
Later because of the harder steering input,I then added the Unisteer PS unit.

Another reason for the Howe Stealth model is that it's much shorter than the ol style 1.5 :1 model.
You need all the available shaft length(no jokes) you can get inorder to fit both the Howe SQ + EPS.

The Howe SQ,now sits directly off the rack and pinion,then the necessary U joints directly onto the Unisteer PS unit.
I made up a Z bracket that attaches to the Drak's ol brake pedal bars for the SQ.

I like the bolt in style opposed to welding on the frame. Nice. I have actually been thinking about taking the steering quickner out of the Revolt because it makes it too hard to turn the wheel and I don't want to spend $800 on a power steering unit. I don't mind cranking the wheel.

haha I'm with you... done it myself many times but i wanted this to work out for you.

Shocks look killer. Wish I lived close enough to swing by King, Kartech, and the plethora of other suppliers in SoCal. You guys out there are very lucky. AND you get the weather too!

Mine has Fox Airs and they actually work really well whether jumping, hard turns, etc. What do you anticipate the main advantage of the King Coilovers over the Fox Airs (?) you took off?

Well the kings were made just for the car. Its going to take a few adjustments with valving but we just did it. The stock shocks were all blown out. I told King I wanted the best ride i could get to do what ever they wanted.

What do you mean by blown out?

You had the FOX Airs before?

Not really sure. They were the shocks Drakart put on it new. All four were leaking and needed to be rebuilt. Ill take some pictures of them tomorrow. I think Ill rebuild them and keep then for spairs.

I believe his stockers were bilsteins. The seals were blown, shocks were totally empty, and the springs were way too stiff. It was harder to push the front end down than the rear of a stock FL350!
