Are those BFG's still available?

No, that particular one isnt available. They are a 185\70\13., I believe most of these cars used a 175\80\13. The rear size 200\55\13 is non existent. They were Yokohama brand. I have found Avon tire makes a 195\50\13 which is about the closest I can find. Then I have to get them grooved. At least I can use some of the old tires and what's on PPP Briggs car as examples.

I have considered that, any brand in particular that works best AND is reasonably priced.

in this video Chad aka PPP and I are trying to get the buggy to idle. Almost all of the fuel was bypassing. That issue has since been corrected and it idles and revs up fine. Still haven't put it on the ground though and driven it. Soon, very soon. This was the 8th or so try. The Engine works well after hosers rebuild. Still having issues with the trans leaking from the axle stubs. Took a few tries to figure out the fuel issue as the previous owner had stopped using the fuel cell and had welded on a spun aluminum tank. By the time I got the buggy that was also gone. Enjoy.

Remove the seals carefully remove the spring on the inside of the seal usually you can roll the spring off the seal with your finger, look real close at that spring go around the spring slowly you will see where it is joined together unscrew the spring, twist it until it unscrews and comes apart, when it comes apart it will be straight, look close at the ends one is male one is female, cut off about 3/8" of the female end of the spring screw it together and install it back in the seal this will put more tension on the shaft where it rides.

You can do this to used seals in a pinch to get a little more life out of them. If the seals you installed are new and you can remove them without damaging them I would try this on the current seals.

Also grease the lips of the seal before you install.

Make sure the seal is not leaking on the OD part and it just looks like its leaking on the ID part of the seal

My old bearings had damaged seals. So I replaced them with new. Here is a pic of the old ones. They slide on to an output shaft and then are held in place with a clip. They look to be leaking now from between the bearing and stub. See pics..
2nd and 3rd pics show where oil is leaking out

File comment: Old bearing seal assembly. Still leaks after new ones installed. I'm guessing it's leaking between the press fit of the bearing and stub???

Thank you for the compliment. It still has a little ways to go. The small things list is slowly getting smaller. My original goal was 1 Year to go through it. With my accident and work it should be just under 3 years to complete. Then I have another one to start on. :-)

Post subject:  Re: 98 Triple EEE

I received the rear shocks. The original ones which no longer exist had the line for the reservoir coming out the side. Fox changed top assemblies and now it only comes out the front or rear depending on how you install it. I'm trying to get the lines on the inside so I don't have to worry about them being damaged in a roll or snagging something. The way the upper mount is designed there is not much room on the inside to work with. I found a line with a 90 degree fitting and when it arrives I will try that. Other wise anybody have any other suggestions on running the lines. There is a cutout in the panel the line should run through then the resivour mounts to the down tube behind the shock. The left side is mounts In a different spot because of the clutch being in the way. I could always try and mount them to the cross bar above the Engine?? Anyway here are some pics.

File comment: Does anybody know the setup on this piece? It is the crossover ring and stops the spring divider from traveling up. So it stops the tender spring and lets the
Main spring work. The old shocks never had this setup.

Went with 15" lines with 90* bend. They go through the bodywork nicely. The lines do face out a little but not as bad as before.

I hoped to get the other shock mounted but didn't happen. Radiator in the truck decided to paint the driveway green. Then PPP came over and we headed out to pick up a pilot. Then instead of dropping me off I spent the day with him tearing another one apart. I'm shooting for Haloween at Dumont. I want to try and at least get some time in the desert and smaller dunes. Not much left, work keeps interfering with the projects. :-)

Post subject:  Re: 98 Triple EEE

I picked up these Hiper wheels with Kenda 585 series tired from PPP. He has a lot of parts for many different machines. Highly recommend him if you are looking for parts. The offsets are pretty close to the original wheels. I will probably need to buy one center ring as the lug nuts came loose at one time and messed up the lug nut seat. The orange rings I will replace with another color or see if I can get it powder coated. The bolt pattern is Polaris so I am going to contact Hiper and see if the center sections can be made to 4x130 for a reasonable price. If not looks like wheel adapters of some sort.
