I picked this up in February when Turbo did his road trip out West. Will be going
through it just like my other one. Biggest issue according to David is the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) mounts. I've started taking it apart so I can get that repaired or replaced. It looks like it will be a much shorter list of needed parts than the other EEE. Honestly I originally wanted this buggy for the transmission. They are rare, not great just rare. After seeing the car and tripping around it for quite a few months I figured I would just go through it and have some fun. It will take awhile but at this point I have more time than money or common sense.

Pulled the Engine and trans, radiator and carbs. This trans appears to be in better shape than the other one. Engine is a Polaris 500cc. Will go through the cv's and check all the bearings. Carbs will definitely need to be gone through. The rear brake caliper is froze and the master cylinder and shocks all leak. Battery box has a hole in the bottom of it as well. I guess Texas is t as dry as I thought. The wiring harness is a mess. Pulled everything off except the basics.

According to Turbo his biggest problem with this buggy was the Engine mounts cracking all the time. After pulling the Engine and trans I was able to get a closer look at the mounts. Pretty ugly to say the least. I'm guessing the frame under the trans is smashed as well just haven't got the skid plates off yet. Here are some pics of the mounts and the Engine plate. Looks like a long crack in the plate as well as a hole in the one mount.

Are there rubber bushings at the frame mounts?

It uses these bushings where the Engine plate attaches to the frame. Similiar to the control arm bushings on the car. The pipe is hard mounted to the frame everywhere but the silencer. The pipe is the two piece design.

Side by side difference between stadium(blue) lower control arms and desert arms(gray). Desert arms are longer, different shock mounting position and gussets on top and bottom. I have seen rear arms gusseted on the stadium cars but not the fronts. Will take some pictures of the shocks and upper arms soon. Ball joints, bushings, sleeves are the same on both cars.

Sorry Rppjr, I just saw your question. I can take a pic but I haven't really done anything new with it yet. My current Triple EEE is the car that Mudbogger most recently had prior to me. It was raced by a guy named Bob in CA? It's the one in the crash video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPmBUxE ... e=youtu.be about 1-1/2 minutes in.

If Bullnerd has that same Briggs from that video over here now maybe we can set up an "East Coast MTEG Nostalgic Buggy Rematch" some day!

I now own the grey Briggs that was rallin the outside in that video. I'm in for an east coast ride.
Kingkx and I are building his Briggs ...he'll be there. Bull?

It's cool to see where these cars ended up and with whom. I was interested in the one Mudbogger had but that's quite a distance to ship a car. I normally find them hammered and then just go through them.

Did you take measurements on the front and alignment before disassembling? Because I doubt there's any place we can find what kind of toe into out camber caster these cars needed

Yes I did, with the steering wheel straight the right front was toed way out. I figured you saw a rock and didn't want to miss it. Lol. Those skid plates were beat to crap. Plus the seat mounts that were welded in for that sparco seat were torn loose.

The seat mount was put in for a damn suspension seat! The original, was a old school plastic buggy seat! It was broken at the hip area! I fit real good in that seat, wish I'd have kept it!

Seeing if anybody might know the brand of this master cylinder. Hoping they sell rebuild/parts kits for it. I couldn't find any part numbers or brand name on it.

I am willing to bet money that is probably a standard 5/8" or 7/8" cylinder and any standard rebuild kit might work. Measure it, bet kits are cheap in the USA.

I think it may be an Airheart.

Check the small displacement master cyclinder at the bottom of list... http://www.airheart-brakes.com/partsheets_airheart.html

Problem is, I "think" they might make them out of plastic nowadays? Not sure if their current kits will rebuild the older ones. I didn't like the idea of that and ended up getting a micro-sprint master cyclinder for my previous Triple EEE. PA is all about Sprint racing (yawn) and there are several places here with replacement Sprint car parts setting on the shelf. But that route required some fabrication. My pic shows a side by side of stock vs the teeny little Wilwood replacement I used.

Thanks for the info guys, I will check into both and post a reply to with what I find out. It does appear to be an old Airheart. My other buggy has one of their calipers on the rear. I picked up a rebuild kit and brake pads from them for that.

I think I am going to try this kit..for the rebuild of the master.
Also here are some more pics of the upper and lower rear control arm differences. The blue uppers use heims like the other buggy. The lower blue arms using bushings instead of heims. I have two bolts on the front upper that are rusted to the sleeves.
