Just a little to the right from center.
Anybody Have a guess what a driven shaft costs to make?
Case fixable? Have to tear it open to see what the inside looks like

Why do you have to get a custom one made ??
What's it off of ??
Not sure if any of these links make custom axes but it appears the cost anywhere from $300 to $900.

I thought I would post it up for conversation. It’s the driven shaft on a trans Simiar to the one in the pic below. I have a couple people getting me prices and to see if the case is fixable. It’s off a Triple E car I came across

File comment: It looks like this on the inside.

File comment: I’m hoping it didn’t damage the inside where it sits in the cup

Those are sexy looking transmissions.
It's just aluminum so I can't see why it can't just be welded up and re-machined.
You machine a brass plug slightly smaller than the bearing. Then fill everything with weld. Re-machine.
If it is the seal area then you do the same thing.

Not much conversation on this site anymore. Very few of us actually participate anymore. Unfortunately.
This is a great site and it will be sad to see it go.

Dan Roberto from RPM transmissions took a look at this mess. The shaft is actually
Cracked not bent. There is a circlip groove in the area of the break. He says he had seen this years ago when the high hp motors where being run. A couple gears that need replaced and a transmission case that he says is fixable. So he is going to do some checking and see what he can do for this sick puppy. Also note this trans has a differential. I had heard of this being done in these transmissions but hadn’t seen one. He did say overall the trans is a solid unit. The previous owner did not install the brace for the driven clutch side.
