I did look into it several years back but never bought one. Too many issues.
I wanted it to build gun parts. I thought about building a plastic gun before that guy posted his on you tube and it went wild. The gov't wanted to pass new laws after that LOL. You can buy a scanner that will scan the piece you want and then digitize it so that the printer can make the part for you. That's good for me because I am not a computer guy. Without this scanner you must be a programmer. The other issue is the parts are not very strong. I think these 3D printers would only be good to make wax molds so that you could use it to cast the part you need in aluminum. The military had a 3D printed gun in prototype in metal form years ago. The other issue is time and energy. It takes time to print something and it also uses a lot of hydro. Just my two bits worth on this.

Although I have not posted in years I do check in from time to time. I still have my Drakart, I have not had it out since I last posted on here.

We professionally printed for 3+ years until another business opportunity came along. We 3d printed military vehicles and figures mostly. I printed in 1/200 (Tiny) up to 1/24 I printed in PLA as well as resin. On any given day I would have 15 to 20 printers going 24/7. I have approximately 25 PLA printers and 6 resin printers. Some things I printed were from existing files, but I also designed and created my own and I got pretty good at it. I taught myself CAD design and I have over 2000 vehicle files and hundreds of figure files. I focused on high quality highly detailed prints.
During covid I printed 3d masks until I realized masks did nothing.
I did the file creation and printing, and my wife did the packaging, selling and shipping.
We sold our prints under the name "3D Printer Chick"
When a new more lucrative opportunity presented itself, we shut down our printing as we did not have time to do both things. My printing room is sitting like it did the day we pulled the plug and can be started right back up if the need ever arises.
If you have any questions, I'm more than happy to try to answer them. If you need something designed, I may be able to help you with that.
