Still no movement on the left-hand side but the Kroil came in today and I am hopeful that it will do the trick in a few days time.

I have a pilot that is leaking on the left side and I’m dreading this job!!! Been trying to talk methodical into making a puller for months!

I think having some patients and letting the penetrating oil do it’s job is all you need. Maybe I got lucky but that hardly ever happens.

Curtis, when you got the CV out did you see what I mentioned about the clip basically getting stuck behind the edge of the splines. In most CV set ups the clip rests in a groove machined in the splines which allows it to compress and come out a little easier...Not Pilots..LOL. The splines just end and the clip says I'm not going any where..

Yes I was able to see that when I got it apart. That inner section between the two cv stubs showed the most rust as well. I have been cleaning it out with a small brass wire brush.
