Went for a ride today up Sowaqua valley. Approx 30km one way.
Both machines ran like crap again. It must be the old aircraft fuel I am running from last year. They wouldn't idle and would stall and then not restart without the choke on. Fiddled with the air screw and idle screw. Sort of worked. They engines were running fine last year with this jetting. We tried several new plugs. No real help. But we went up the hill anyways.
Side note: Both the rebuild rear shocks I did leaked. At the beginning of the ride my brother very happy with them. He said it was like riding in an easy chair. By the time we got back to the truck he said they were bottoming out. Will replace them tomorrow with another rebuild set. Lets see what happens then. It will be over a week before we can get out again.

Stunning views as always!

So cool.

I think I would have a couple fuel injected dual sports for exploring those mountains!

There is a gold mine, two silver mines, and a nickel mine in this area, all with in a stones throw of my house, but they are all closed down for years now. My dad worked at the nickel mine back in the 70's. He was an electrician.

If you wanted gold all you have to do is go down to the Fraser River (about three blocks from my house) with a pan. The Fraser River has a town on it called Yale (about 20 miles from my house). It was the biggest city north of San Francisco back in the gold rush days. The problem is fisheries. Anything more than panning with a pan and they jump on you. Also there is nothing but flour gold, very fine. Look it up on the net, it should come up.
Here ya go: http://www.goldrushtrail.ca/vancouver-c ... ains/yale/
The town of Hope is where I live.
