Found another basket case FL350 nearby for $600 yesterday. Guy had it listed as a go cart for $1100 and included a full roller plus a Arctic Cat 550. I didn't want the Engine, and negotiated it to $600 and convinced him he could still get ~$400 for his
Engine (true, it was clean). He said he took it all in a trade and needed money for the truck he just bought. Been parked and tarped for a while. Someone had even started fabricating a mount for the Engine out of 1/4" plate. Also nice when the seller is 6'4" or so and pushing 280-lbs.
When I got there and looked at it in person (1hr 45min away), I noticed it came with the
CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) box, clean fuel tank, seatbelt, neck pad, and a dead mouse, too. Bonus! And here I was good with the price without that stuff! =) Trans moves freely.
I got it because I need the foot tub, seat, fender mounts, and rear shocks for my Rotax 470 project. I'm not a fan of parting stuff out, but the remainder of this one will get parted. I've hoarded enough parts already! lol. Figure I can get get my $600 + $80 gas + $14 Wendy's back, the parts I need, plus some cash to fund the latest project buggy.
Its got...
Good trans w/ rotor & driven clutch
Pair of axles,
CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition),
Full wire harness,
Rear suspension,
Rear shocks w/ clean shafts (I'm keeping until I get new ones for the Rotax buggy)
Front suspension,
Front shocks w/ clean shafts
Tool box,
Shifter w/ good cables; shifts great!
plastic dash covers,
Roof plate,
Straight front bumper,
Hubs,
Master cylinder,
Rear caliper,
Perfect rear left fender
One-crack right rear fender
Front left fender is broke, but in one place (will get stitched)
Air box lid
Air box elbow
Battery box
Tail light
Complete steering wheel with a warning light of some sort wired in
Stock fuel tank with pump and all brackets/guards; clean inside!
Plastic fuel/coolant tank off a lawn tractor (?)
Foot tub with mats (keeping)
Complete seat assembly with no holes (keeping)
Fender brackets
Straight frame w/ no welds or issues; just surface rust
Good wheels
Exhaust mounts
The bad...
No Engine
No drive clutch
No Engine mounts
Headlights are shot
Tires are shot (by some miracle, the rears hold air, lol)
Right front fender is obliterated
Throttle/choke cables froze
Nothing is for sale as of right now, and any ''dibs'' will be ignored. I need to make sure I have everything I need for my Rotax buggy plus the two complete TLC buggies in storage first. Probably not a bad idea for me to take a full inventory count. I don't even know what I have anymore! lol But most of everything will get cleaned up a bit, and will be listed here on PO.com first. I'd like to try to avoid evilBay and PayPunk as much as possible. Proceeds will go towards my Rotax project. Who knows...I said I'd part out the other two and that was almost 2 yrs ago! LOL! I did just pick-up that Rotax 617 RAVE last week (?).
Just wanted to share. Another ol' girl is out of the weeds and checked into the safe-house.
