Went to the race at Qualcomm in San Diego over the weekend. It is definitely more entertaining than racing, but pretty amazing.

Stands looked empty was this a race or just a promo thing ?

It was a race, but they definitely have not gotten the turn out Gordon is hoping for. They pack everyone into a smaller area to try and get the excitement, but the rest of the place is empty.

I think Phoenix had the best turnout thus far. LA Coliseum surprised me. I really thought there'd be more of us there. It's still brand new though... and very well worth the trouble and investment in attending. They still have one race TBA (on the east coast I really hope) that I may go to, and I may also be able to go to Atlanta. There's Midwest locations on the schedule too.

I'd like see it on an all dirt course just like M/T used to do rather than the dirt jumps with pavement straights they have had in the last two stadiums. Although the cross-over jumps at san diego and shooting up the stands and out the peristyles at the coliseum are just so awesome. I agree it's a lot of show, but I really like the show. Really the best thing in recent years.

Packing the stands is a tactic to keep it looking occupied for the TV cameras. This is on NBC a week after each race. What an excellent program. Hats off to Robby Gordon.

Support these guys by attending if at all possible. You certainly won't regret it.

Went to the race at Los Angeles Colesium. It was fun to watch up close but the stadium was a 1/4 full. Granted the LA Colesium seats 60k!
