Check it out this post gives a lot of detail read it slow http://www.pilotodyssey.com/POv2/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3

I am working on importing ALL this sites users so you would not have to go through the whole registration process I would like for some to sign up just to test the process. If I can import all the users from here it will probably wipe out the account you created on PO V2.0

SUGGESTION ARE NEEDED!

Keep in mind that is a TEST SITE ONLY any post you make their will eventually be deleted, feel free to post their just keep in mind at any minute it could be lost if you have something important to you and want it preserved then post on this site.

My list of things to do first.
1. Import this sites users. (Users can NOT be imported from this site )
2. FIX the image upload settings. (if your pic is too big it currently rejects it) Fixed
3. Add View unread posts | View new posts | View your posts links. (Added a menu system that includes View New Post link :-)

I tried to make the site self explanatory

Enjoy, kick the tires tell me what you like/hate.

Hi there Hoser.
I just signed up and logged into the new site.
When I replied to your post in the general bs section my reply does not seem to be there.
Right at the moment it is lost in cyber space. Might be a glitch in the system.

Added the Ajax Chat to the new site you will see it on the main page when you get their. http://www.pilotodyssey.com/POv2/index.php

Info, give feedback here https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2286221

Please note the chat only works when people are their, also understand that you might type in a message and nobody will respond if others are not their, you also might not get a instant response, years ago when the Pilot Odyssey chat was more active we use to have regular chat meetings once a week at a certain time, we could do this again if users wanted too or even have a time each day to meet say starting at 6pm CST.

UPDATE

A bunch more Extensions has been added to the Secret Squirrel Test Site adding many new features to the site. You can review them here I think they are self explainatory if not ASK! http://www.pilotodyssey.com/POv2/viewforum.php?f=13

Preview the new styles I added to the site my current favorite is Allan_Style-Subsilver Its about as close to what the default is on this site and probably the style I will end up tweaking and using as the default when/if I upgrade to phpbb 3.1 in http://www.pilotodyssey.com/POv2/viewto ... 5&t=13#p14

If you see other styles you like let me know I will install so they can be tested. http://www.pilotodyssey.com/POv2/viewto ... ?f=15&t=23

I think the adding pictures thing has been fixed you guys need to try other attachments as well here was my last test http://www.pilotodyssey.com/POv2/viewto ... ?f=18&t=32

Post subject:  Re: PilotOdyssey.com V2.0 The Future

Added a Google Search to the v2 developmental site. Its the same as clicking on the " PilotOdyssey.com Google Search " link at the top of this page it just has the convenience of the Google Search box rather than clicking on the link and going to another page, it will works the same it searches Google for info that is on this site, Google [Bot] is here daily indexing this site adding to the search index.

Keep in mind that the bots are NOT indexing the v2 site at this time http://www.pilotodyssey.com/POv2/index.php so if you try to use the Google Search its probably not going to return any results.

Just tried to add a wordpad and a pdf file in POv2.0.
No success. File extensions allowed seem very limited.
Am I doing something wrong over there ??
Seems to be similar to what we have here when it comes to attaching something.
Yes I know I can't attach a wordpad document here but I thought I would give it a try on the new site.

You didnt do anything wrong.

Yes your right I only spent the time to setup the bare minimum of file extensions I never thought anybody would try to upload those types of files on a test site, all the same files you can upload here will be allowed when and if I upgrade. It was important for me to setup the file extensions for images so I could use them as a tool and to verify they still resize correctly in the newer phpbb version, I had read a few complaints about the resizing system but I think they have that all corrected now.

I think just about any file type made can be allowed to be a attachment. Thanks for noticing and reporting :-)

Post subject:  Re: PilotOdyssey.com V2.0 The Future

Added the Categories in tabs Extension to the test site, something you have to see to understand.
It takes all the categories and creates a tab for each category http://www.pilotodyssey.com/POv2/index.php

As the author says "Display forum categories as tabs on the index page"

The Extension is still in development I will ask if he can add a feature where each user can turn this feature on or off in the User Control Panel for those who do not like it.

Screen cap.
