That is funny, but good to hear he will live to crash another day! :-)

In the center of the first pic you can just see the oddy. It went down about 130'. I know this because we had a 100' rope and it would not have reached so we went down the road a bit to get closer. It happened in a turn. The next two pics you can see how steep it is. The pics don't do it justice. More coming.

All four corners damaged.
Front right J arm (bottom) damaged
Right rear shock damaged
Roof lid damaged
Not sure about steering yet

Note the damage to the roof lid. When I had my big crash it was damaged bad too.
In my opinion this is a crucial part of the frame. These lids are tough as hell to straighten. I feel they add tremendous strength to the structure. Do not run without them or replace them with anything else.
My brother had a padded shoulder harness. He now swears by it. During my big crash the belts cut my neck and I was also cut in the groin by the lap belt. My brother walked away from this with nothing. Not even a scratch, but I think his helmet was damaged.

We can argue this all day but there isn't anyone in the world on four wheels faster than my brother and I. We both used to race cars when we were younger. I won a championship in 1982 and qualified to go to the nationals at mid Ohio. We didn't have any money left so couldn't go. I still feel today that if we had an opportunity we would of both been world champions --------- that is if we could keep the fn car off the wall and out of the dirt.

The pictures are another testament to the skills and abilities of the engineers who designed this Honda chassis. Wish I could say thanks to those guys.

Holy Sh*t !!! Glad you guys are ok, that looks like it could have been much worse. That hill is steep AF. I can't even imagine being in you or your brothers seat during either of the crashes.

Holy crap! So glad to hear your brother is ok. It seams like going end over end through the tree's could be deadly if you hit the wrong branch.

Yeah in the oddy's you are a bit exposed on your right and left sides, but you are still enclosed in a cage.
My brother and I have talked about that.
You still need luck in any crash.

Very true, I had a branch punture an ATV tires once....
Go through the body like butter.
How long did that recovery take?
