In that article is also an idea that I had yesterday, but with a twist. Here is the quote in that article: Vizanko showed us the key technologies that the engineers used to hit their goal. The first is the triple throttle bodies. “We use a throttle body for each cylinder on this Engine, which is unique in the Engine world,”
Well I was thinking that everyone is running the exhaust pipes into a collector and then bolting on a turbo. My idea was to run each exhaust pipe into it's own turbine. That way if you get a misfire it don't cool the entire exhaust mixture. If you got a 3 cylinder then the turbo would have 4 impellers all on the same shaft.

AKPILOT, wow, that was a butt load of finding answers. Amazing work. There are several things I am to fool with on this build that I've used successfully in the past. Since this is a single cylinder the build will be TBBT.. That translates into Throttle Body Before Turbo. This aids in two areas: One the use of a blow off valve is eliminated and two turbo lag(iff all other areas area addressed) can be brought into a completely tolerable range. The use of a TB pre turbo is debated in the snowmobile world, some love it some do not. On a single like the 350, I Feel that this is the route to go. The philosophy is that the turbo is basically kept under a steady direct vacuum when the Engine is running and the throttle blade closed, thus keeping energy transferred to the turbine which ay more readily spin when the throttle is opened. Also, I'm looking at a turbo with ceramic bearings. The ease with which these spool is amazing.

I had watched the video of your 700 turbo pilot many times, just didn't realize it was yours I do love the front wheel dangle..I also remember reading the post where you discussed the arctic cat pipe you purchased. I have kind of a curse, I remember EVERYTHING uhg, just ask the wife..

I am currently working with the engineers at ecotrons to see if we can truly configure their efi system to work on the build..

Meth,

Sounds good, I have a friend with a Short Sand Car with a GSXR 1100 that is turboed the way your planning to go. It does work good

Going to revive this thread for a moment.
Found something interesting on the net and it explains it well. It is an electric turbo.
Talks about advantages and disadvantages and explains it in simple terms.

CO, that's an interesting find. When I said in my PM that electrically assisted turbos were being developed, I wasn't aware of the set up you posted in that link, very interested. Here is a link to what I was referring to. The center shaft of the turbo is actually driven as though it's an electric-motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) shaft. Take a look at this link.

Cool. Almost the same as my idea but I like mine better :-) .
The electric systems seems overly complicated. Mine very simple, like me.
