Anyone have any experience with quick release hubs or modifying a FL350 steering wheel/column to make it so someone who is handicapped can get in and out easier? I'm trying to help a friend modify his new 350. Also looking to relocate the shifter a little more forward and slightly higher than OEM locations. Any advice would be a appreciated.

Quick release is pretty simple. Cut the steering shaft and weld the quick release in line. Just be sure to keep the shafts in line while welding. Mine was a tad off and I had to adjust with a washer.

Worried about it having a effect on on the brake, throttle cables, and wires running down the column. I don't need it to go far just slightly forward to the pillars for the rider to slide in.
