There’s a company out of New Zealand makes on similar boat kit. Really cool if you know how to weld aluminum. Right now I have 2 funjet boats made by D+D Manufacturing. They’re 10’ long. They use an outboard powerhead bolted to a jet pump. The first one I bought is a 1989. It uses a 70hp Yamaha triple bolted to a Morita centrifugal pump. It runs and works great as of now but after purchasing it and realizing how much fun it is I figured out that the Morita pump is basically impossible to find parts for. So I bought another one. The 1987 has a 60hp Suzuki twin and it’s bolted to a jet pump very similar to the old wetbikes. They share many parts. Not easy to find but they can be found. Doesn’t have the punch that the Yamaha does but it’s still a lot of fun. One I’m going to get Sunday is an 88 Ultranautics Jetstar 1250. 12.5’ and uses the same Engine and drive as the 87 funjet. Has a problem with the pump and it looks rough but we’ll see once I get it home. Might fix it or I might just strip it for parts and take the hull to the landfill.

That's a cool looking toy. I think I seen a you tube vid of boats very similar racing around a twisty coarse. Those damn things were fast and turned on a penny. Also seen some drag boats that looked like that and they were hellish fast too. |

The Yamaha does 35 and the Suzuki does 32-33. Feels a lot faster that close to the water but the maneuverability is what’s fun. You can whip around just like a jet ski. |

That's cool ATC! The NZ kits are costly to ship! There is a NZ guy that sells his own design ready to go to the cnc cutter so you can have them cut out locally. I'm either going to buy the plans from him, or get the kit from jet stream. This is the guy that sells his design, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBlJSNHj47c |

Will take some skill to put one of them together. The trip for the Jetstar got delayed. He called Saturday night to tell me he couldn’t find the titles for the boat or trailer. I may only use it for parts but I want to be the one to make that decision after I get to look it over in person. I told him I’d pass on it unless he can find them. He gave me a call last night and he found them so we’re back on for this coming Sunday. |

Got the rzr put back together. Everything seems to be working great as of now. Friends kid road it for a few hours while we put together my deer blind and it never missed a beat. |

Nice work FatCat. I've said it before, and I'll say it again I wish I had an uncle like you when I was growing up. |

To be fair I probably get as much or more from it than they do. Can’t wait to see their faces on this one. Pretty sure they have no idea that a kids SxS even exists. They’re gonna flip. They wanted Santa to bring a rhino for Christmas. I think he left it in the dryer too long. |

Got my real tail lights installed on this thing. Wish I would’ve done a little bit better of a job making the holes but they turned out ok. Little bead of black silicone around them hid my mistakes. Also got the speedo ordered. Will fit perfectly in place of the sticker. Speed hut had a sale on them after Thanksgiving. Had them customize the face of it.
