We went grouse hunting yesterday with a buddy that we used to work with. He's retired now. He told us he just got back from a funeral last week. It was for a victim of the Vegas shooting. She was 32. Her brother was killed in an auto accident years ago. The mom and dad had two kids and now they are both gone. Sick. I did not know her but it just seems very close to home.
This may sound strange but I still like guns -- for hunting -- hunting grouse not people.
You can't blame the gun anymore than you can blame Toyota if you get hit by another car.
It's the person you blame.

When I was a kid in the early 80s wrestling was big. Every time u turned in TV there was wrestling on. Wasn't long before kids started hurting each other by doing things they saw the wrestlers doing and they were just emulating what they were constantly fed.

Our issue runs so much deeper then either side of the gun argument. No one addresses that kids have been spoon fed gun violence there whole lives. Movies,tv,video games,music and what they see first hand.

Good luck taking my guns to compensate for society's failures.

After we "Liberate" a country we hand out propaganda machines. Here in the states we call them satalight dishes. Direct TV , dish network. Because exposure to our TV shows softens the up ,if u will to our views.
When the powers that be feel we as a people need to be "Enlightened" they "hollywood" write into the scripts story lines intended to change public opinion. Be it homosexuality, imigration issues,even war ,,but no one sees or acknowledges this subliminal messaging also sends out messages that are not what they may intend them to be. I don't think Hollywood is out to brain wash our kids but they are happy to feed the masses what they crave. Violence sells and as people get numb to it they have to get more violent to keep people interested.

The very first Rambo movie was filmed here in my home town. Stallone was a hero right ??
All the guns you see in the sheriffs office in that movie belonged to the local gunsmith here -- my friend.
