Pretty cool! About 10 years ago, the company I work for used to make and package the aerosol Tamia model paints. I still have 20 or 30 cans from the production runs. Rand |

Yup, had the lancia Rally, Same chassis. Tons of fun with that thing and put it through hell! LOL! I made skis for the front and put big paddle tires in the back so I could drive it in the snow. |

Had a friend in school, asked me to come over to run RCs. I had a radio shack Porsche maybe did 5mph, he pulled out the frog (or maybe it was a grasshoppper) certainly looks the same... my jaw hit the ground. Saved all summer to grab a Blackfoot. Oh to be a kid again. |

Back in the 80's I think I had almost every tamiya truck or buggy made. The Subaru Brat and the Blackfoot were my favorites. For some reason I never had the Porsche. I think I enjoyed building them as much as driving them. |

Got a team associate RC10 gold tub on the shelf. I too had the standard radio shack cars but could not afford the good ones. Fast forward and I went nuts for about 10 years. 1/24th to 1/4 scale cars /trucks/airplanes/helicopters and boats. Cars with antilock 4 wheel disc brakes that will run about 85mph and 5' boats with 5hp engines but my favorite is my Tamiya Bruiser 1/10th scale crawler. I think only the frame is now original. I ended up selling 4 of my best cars to buy my Dakart

Antilock brakes?? Sure have come a long way since I used to run the RC's back in the mid 80's. I had a few gas powered cars but they always broke easily. |

My buddy had "The Frog" (green/white) and it was the coolest r/c ever back in the day. We were all jealous. He had another one called "The Hare" or "Brown Hare" or "Wild Hare" that was more of a bug/beatle style. This back in the mid/late 1980's. |

I remember having to get ''Thorpe'' differentials and axles, for all the Frog style trucks and buggies. Best upgrade ever for that style transmission. |

How about upgrading from the slow response speed controllers to solid state. I had to throw three months of newspapers to pay for that upgrade! |
