I have had this short cut on my computer for some time now.
Originally (before I bought my oddys) I was going to order one of these machines but thought for that money I could get several oddys. At this time I still feel the prices are reasonable compared to some of the prices of the new machines like the Can-Am or Rzr. It is an American outfit but the only draw back I see would be the guaranteed parts supply in years to come. I would only buy one of these if they came with the list of parts they purchase to complete their machines. No list - No purchase. I think any Drakart owner would agree with me here. The first two on the list in the complete buggies section would be what I would be looking at. The first one in the list is the FXT630 for $15000. The only thing I don't like is the none independent rear suspension. It is also 20 lbs lighter than the oddy. The second one is the SS630R for $19000. For a lousy $4G more you get independent rear suspension and 100 hp. Of course you would have to verify all this before you send a cheque. At the current time they are not taking any orders because they say they are to busy. Anyways here is the site: http://protodie.com/Complete-Buggy-Build_ep_51.html
Cost to fun factor of the oddys can still not be beat.

I like those buggys, but I think if I were to stray from my Ody I think a good upgrade would be a BARRACUDA MK II or PIRANHA. Check out their website.

They have everything from plans to kitsets. I don't think getting parts would be that difficult, however they are across the world in Australia and I bet the cost would add up quickly ($15k and I'm poor). I'd love to build a 1000cc buggy with independent suspension from scratch, but we can all dream.
