At low pressure the tire can rotate on the rim, under extreme conditions that could rip the valve stem out of the tube.

With that being said, I've run tubes on all kinds of atv's.

I have tubes in half my tires. Never had an issue with stem tearing out and they always hold air. I'm a firm believer in tubes.

I use tubes when the tire bead will no longer hold air. The downside is when you do get a leak you cant just plug it
