Looks like a Polaris to me. Sad.
I thought for a moment when I seen the title of this post that Honda had something there.
Almost feel like I was click baited :-) .
Wonder if these companies now build at same factory in China, put their logo on it and call it theirs. Sad.

I never understood these marketing "GURU'S".
Why wouldn't you just publish a photo of what you want to build and then troll sites like this to gauge public reaction to your product ?? If it positive then build it. If negative then move on. Yes I know what you are going to say -- "because your competition will build it first". I disagree. Both of you will be starting flat footed but you will have already advertised that you have this product and the pics to prove it. If positive then flood the media with the pictures. It's yours, not theirs.
I said a long time ago that if the car companies would build exact copies of the old corvettes, super bee, Camaro etc with modern drive train then they would make a killing. Well they have been doing that sort of. Dummies changed the styling a bit -- not good. I said EXACT COPIES.
This Polaris Honda is a good reason in my opinion. Dummies.

I appears to be a step forward for Honda, but a small step.

at least they are back in the sport UTV game, what they need to do is have a team sit around and see where the Pilot would have evolved into had they not killed it almost 30 years ago.

I used to be a die hard Honda fan. Since they've done nothing for anyone in the off road world (Except motorcycles), in the past almost 20 years, I'm done with them. I had a 2007 TRX450ER that was the biggest POS. Had to constantly change out the starter clutch at $500 each time. Sold it after the 3rd one in 3 years and bought a Yamaha. Bought a 2008 Honda Accord V6 fully loaded brand new. Another POS. Brakes every 15k, tranny went out at 35k, tensioner pulley broke off motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )), interior has fallen apart, burns oil from the day I bought it.
Done with HONDA!!!!!!

There are a couple of things I like about this Polaris/Honda.
1) It has a paddle shift 6 speed, no belt drive. You can use auto or manual -- that's a nice feature.
2) The 1000X is only 6" wider than an oddy and only 2 1/2" longer -- not bad.
The 1000R is a lot bigger.
To skip all the blah blah, start the vid at the 9 min mark.

Earlier in this post I made a comment on why the marketing gurus don't troll sites like this to gauge public reaction to your product BEFORE you build it ?? They appear to have done something like that. They said in the vid that their demographic is an adult male 40 and over and married.

Still want to see a single seater ------- not all of us want to pay alimoney.

Apparently this machine is gona cost 20G  .
If anything goes wrong with this thing it's gona cost. You aint fixin that sled with crescent wrench and hammer.

Man this place is dead anymore!

I think they would have turned the lights out already if it wasn't for CO.

Years ago this would have been a great discussion.

I bet the Honda sxs sites are having a blast.(But i don't belong to them)

The guys that designed the looks of the Pilot definitely don't work at Honda anymore!

Its sad that a company like Honda, that has the capability to build THE most bad ass shit, releases something so vanilla as a sport SxS!

Why don't they just talk to the top UTV builders?

It sounds like the only thing going for it is the trans and the Honda reliability reputation.

What fully said.
Gota second that comment.
If that sled costs 20G like I read then the whole cost to fun factor comes into play. You still can't beat a Pilot or Oddy when it comes to cost to fun factor. You can get a nice Pilot for 7G and that leaves you with 13G to sex it up. Even more for an Oddy.

What bull said.
Like I said --- it just looks like a Polaris/Honda.

They should be selling them already, no? At least I assume so. But now that you mention it, I haven't seen one either yet.

My local dealer is Honda largest volume dealer, they say that they will have the first of them shipped. Eighty units on the first shipment and a waiting list that is larger than that. The second shipment is eighty more. I believe April for the first ones.

Eighty as in 80 - as in 100-20, 8x10, 40x2 - Damn that's a lot of Talons.

based on MSRP - Lets see 20K a pop, that's 20K x 160 = $3,200,000.00 WTF.

I wonder what the dealer profit is on those.
