I got a bunch of stock fuel pumps somewhere and that's why I hate them.

Partszilla is the only safe place as far as I know for Polaris pumps.

Honestly I don't think the knock offs are junk.
I have one Polaris pump on one machine and two knock offs on the other two. Knock offs are from amazon.
They all have the same amount of time on them -- roughly -- and I have not lost a pump on any of the machines. I had a problem once last year and it ended up being a plugged fuel line in the tank because I pick up my fuel through the drain plugs now. I don't have a screen on the end of the hole. Need to fix that one day.
When I bought the Polaris pump at the dealer I had a bit of sticker shock. I think it was $80 or $50 not sure now as it was a long time ago. That's why I bought the knock offs.

Yeah that sounds about right.
I just seems like a no brainer to me ------ you can buy one pump or buy two for the same price, which do you want ??
This is the reasoning behind my knock off purchase years ago.

Just for fun -- take the fuel line off the pump and blow some air back into the tank. Then hook up the pump and re-test. Maybe you got some crap in the pick up line. That's what happened to me. Pull the cap on the fuel tank because if you don't the tank pressures up and when you pull the blow nozzle off the fuel line the fuel comes squirting out at you. How do I know ?? Don't ask. Leave the cap just sitting on the tank to catch any splash from the air.
