If I’m reading this correctly I’d like to help...
The big bore bike engines do not have a counter balance setup which when mated to an ATV chassis typically makes a very powerful paint shaker with often broken
Engine mounts etc.
The 500s work in the bikes 2/2 different harmonics, something that must be strongly considered when thinking about a 350 or Pilot bike Engine swap or creative/from scratch build.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the input.
I did think about cracked Engine mounts because of the vibration and was gona use the homemade oddy rubber isolators. That may not be enough though, as you are suggesting.
Also thx for the counter balancer comment. I didn't think they had one any either. Couldn't see it on any drawing I found.
This 500cc Engine thing is just something I have been thinking about for a long time.
You see, when I look at an Engine sitting on my bench, it just looks like it can easily be made because what I see when I look at it is just two pieces of pipe. One is vertical called a cylinder and one is horizontal and called a crankcase. The crankcase is just a tube with a bearing on each end and a shaft. The cylinder is just a pipe with a bunch of holes in it called ports. It's not that tough.
