near where I live there use to be a Honda dealership in a nearby town. I heard a rumor today that in the early 90’s Andrews Honda went to a Honda fire sale and purchased 40 brand new Honda pilots in various states of assembly for around $900 each. The rumor goes that they then took them back to their shop and finished assembly and sold them on their showroom room floor for $1800, brand new machines. I’m wondering if anyone can verify this story or ever heard of anything like it.
