My brother and I went for a ride up Hunter Creek today.
Great ride. Busted nothing :-) .
Made my very first YouTube video and will post it here.
Give me a few minutes to upload pics and vids.

The card in my camera is too small. That 3 min vid took up 2/3 of the free space on it. I may have to buy a bigger card. It actually took 30 min to load on youboob  . I wasn't expecting that.
Also I do not have a mount for my phone. All you would see is sky dirt sky dirt sky dirt anyways :-) .

The word awesome is often over used, but I think it applies here. Such an amazing landscape to be able to ride.

How about a GoPro? I think they're cheap now adays and they have great stabilization for vibrations and movement, not to mention they attach to anything on the frame or helmet

Yeah I thought about a GoPro a few years ago but they were expensive up here at the time. Don't know current pricing.
The real issue is how long do those cameras record ??

Most of our rides last between 5 to 7 hrs depending on how long and how many times we stop for a coffee and snack. A few years ago when we were "racing to the top" you could do it in an hour if the machine didn't bust or you crashed. We don't do that anymore.
The closest and best rides are Sowaqua, Hunter Creek or any of the roads up the Skagit Valley.
The road up the Skagit Valley is literally about 500 yds from my front door. We don't go up there very often because it is so popular with the city yahoos. Weekdays are good but long weekends in the summer time are stupid at Silver Lake. Of course there is hundreds of miles up there to hide but it's only one main road and too many drunks. Cops set up road block at bottom of hill to catch them on long weekends. I think it's about 50 miles to the American border up there. They got a Ranger station and picnic area at the Dam. Haven't been up there in many many years.

I have the GoPro Hero7 Black. Great picture and sound quality. Has image stabilization. I'm using a Panavise roll bar mount I got on Amazon. Super sturdy.

I bought my GoPro at Best Buy.

$20 for a 128GB card.

Nice views looks like a great place to ride.

If you ever notice a huge temperature change better keep an eye on jetting or PookKaboom!

Having ridden in mountain areas its was not unusual to have the wind change direction and see a huge temp drop, so when the wind picks up air in the shaded areas with the visible snow like seen in your pictures expect the unexpected and Stay Tuned.

Hunting season is the best time of the year to go riding around here.
September and October is best riding because it's not so hot/humid and because the dust level is low. We have had some rain the last couple of days so that will kill the dust.

Yeah that snow you see in the pics is from last years snow falls. Some of the snow never melts up there.
You are correct though in some of those comments. When riding you suddenly feel chilly air. That's usually because there is a water fall or a creek running near or across the road. Temps this time of year also drop a lot up in the hills. I never change my jetting though. I jet lean a bit down low so that by the time we get up top it's good. We have found out recently that I jetted way to lean as the machine had no power. I went up 50 pts on both our jetting. Went from a 320 main to a 370 on my brothers machine. Since I run avgas I do have a big safety margin. If I did that with pump gas I would be ded.
