I’m actually making a trailer. 30' atv/utility out of a 26' camper. Extended back part of the frame by 4'. Rear and side ramps. 20lb of 7018 3/32" sticks consumed. About #3200lb by my estimate with a 7500lb GVWT so its at the capacity rating of my RV. That'll hold about 5 Odys. I got the frame/trailer for free but all the materials, wiring, lights, new tires/wheels are adding up to about $1200.

Man I watched it a few times. Pretty cool. More please.

Zero, that is a lot of tail. I have seen that before and have seen it wipe out a car at a gas station. The pivot point swings the rear way out in a turn. May want to take it for a drive before finishing. It will be much easier to load and go with out stacking and taking hours to tie down. Now if they only had pilot/ody gas stations. Yes, I remember the pilot at a pilot gas station. Please post pics when done and loaded.

The tail is 11’ out from the rear axle. The front is 15’ forward from the front axle. The tongue is 5’ forward again. I know it’s going to be a bit rough but mostly this thing will be on highways, truck stops, and campgrounds for a few trips per year. I’ll have to see how it goes since my rv already has about 8’ of tail swing; it’s going to either help or hurt the trailers action. I think initial turning the trailer is going to track straight but then turn sharply at the turn’s apex. Hopefully that’s after it clears obstacles. it’s gonna turn wide.

Here’s another picture with removable ramps on and railing done. I’m no trailer builder this is more of a welding project and an opportunity for us to hopefully travel out west.

Also I'll be wiring up 5x side marker lights per side, and also red/white reflective tape down the rails and rear bumper. Also I'll be re-conditioning the 16' rear/side loader in the background (That holds 3x Odys, weighs 1800lb empty, and pulls nice). Both trailers have dual axle electric brakes.

thanks guys..these are actually really simple to make. all I have to do it pick the video I want to use for the clip.

kuma we just had one of the worst storms yesterday we have had in a long long time..there are a few towns and multiple farms that have been without power for 30 plus hours already and they are saying it could be another 10-15hrs. not good to have no power in the winter. I was lucky and made it home before the storm hit, visibility was so bad you could hardly see the front of your truck.

adnoh I will see what I can do about making more for yeah

zero man that's one big trailer. are you going to have enough tongue weight, how hard would it be to move the axles back a few feet.

Thanks fully look forward to them.

Zero I see what your saying. Can't wait to see a pic of it loaded for a ride. You should give it a name. Maybe the board can have a nameing contest. Like twining trailer or old school hauler maybe just LT. Front half for pilots and back for odys. Cool project. If it CO's we would just call it AV GAS hauler.
