Sorry for the second site outage.

The Geniuses at Hostgator.com the company that host this site without warning performed a unauthorized upgrade of the server software that broke PilotOdyssey.com forums

First indication was the php errors you seen, after contacting Hostgator.com tech support via chat and about 4 hrs of BS they reverted php back to the previous version now the php files could be properly read it brought out the database errors they escalated my case to the next level of tech support, the people on the Help Chat have limited access and knowledge they are not the ones performing system upgrades they are just the level that helps out with common basic problems Hostgator.com users might encounter, common practice with tech support everywhere.

I worked on this last night with Tech support for hours went to bed after being told AGAIN Tech would contact me by email, woke up at 3am to talk to Hostgator.com Help Chat AGAIN to get the ball rolling on copies of the server logs so I could read the logs before work, digest log data all day at work, formulate a plan to execute soon as I got home and to also find out the before and after versions of ALL software involved in the system update.

MORE LATER I will finish this story after work, again sorry.

I’m not tech savvy at all but when I tried to log on the other day I think it showed your password. You might want to change that. At the end of the message it said “using password ...”

And I don’t know if it’s related but my browser won’t even let me log onto this website from my laptop anymore, and on my iPad it let me logon but it shows “not secure”

We appreciate you working on the issues Hoser, not something you need to apologize for. I was at least able to log on this morning.

Its probably something stuck in your cache trying to load flush your cache by pressing F5 a few times or reboot

You can google your device model with how to flush the cache if you still have a problem

I thought you did something cause I can log on now from my laptop. My Ipad still shows the site as unsecured though.
