Last week we had record temperatures in this province.
The hottest place in Canada was Lytton, which is our resident pocket desert. It's only about 55 miles from my house up the Fraser Canyon. It got to 49.6'C (121'F). It was a record.
Here at my place we got to the low 40'C (104'F+) temps. It almost never goes over 100'F around here. Usually in the high 90's.
The heat stayed for a week. It was brutal. My AC couldn't even keep up and we had to move my mom into my brothers place. His AC broke down to but he had parts to fix it luckily.
The sad part about Lytton is that the mayor was on the news crowing about the record temps and the other day the whole town burned to the ground because of a wild fire. It's still burning as we speak. We currently have 157 wildfires burning in this province. Looks like it's going to be another record year for fires.
It's so hot you can't even go riding. Next week suppose to be nice. Maybe get our 1st ride of the year in.
