Post subject:  options for rebuilding works steelers shocks

Hi all. Been quite a while since i have posted here. Hope everyone is doing ok in these crazy times. So, after 9 years of service the Works shocks on my FL350 are leaking and one of the rubber bump stops is cracked. I guess Works Inc went out of business back in 2017 but it was restarted back up by the daughter of the owner that passed away. After reaching out to Worx (now with an x instead of an s) and speaking to Tim who apparently is running the day-to-day operation i inquire about repairing the shocks & he informs me it will take 3 MONTHS. I'm located in SoCal so I'm thinking there's got to be another option. If anyone knows of any shop or can recommend any shop that rebuilds Works shocks please post. The shocks have gas in them because they have sticker advising the valve is not user serviceable. If it was just taking apart, replacing seals and refilling oil I would attempt it. Anyways, I'm sure there's other members here who have Works shocks on their machines so someone has been/or will be in this situation. Any and all replies welcomed and appreciated

that's what he told me and it has been more than 5 months now. on youtube one of the members here (fully) Scott Fullerton has video of his rebuild on his works shocks. I believe he purchased the parts from them. The videos should also be here on this site if you search his posts.

Quality Shock Service aka the former Works lead technician has rebuilt mine and many others on this site. He has super fast turn around and has all the parts in stock ready to go. Very clean job.
