HEY long time no see, you still have Beer down under, any supply chain issues, weathering the Covid Plandemic ok?

Wish I just dropped a beer and not the phone, like a dummy set the phone on the hood of my VW Bug, shut the door and the phone slid off the hood landed on the corner of the screen, got on the PC started researching changing the screen happen to pick up the phone and it was HOT as hell, assuming something inside (screen maybe) shorted out, in a panic I pried the back cover off and pried the battery out to prevent a fire, these NEW phones are not designed to remove the back cover or remove the battery, the battery is WIRED into the phone.

In the process of removing the GLUED in battery it was damaged so the phone is in the parts pile now, it was a cheapo phone Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, I think I paid $175 USD free shipping, the money is the easy part finding a new phone is the hard part, has to be UNLOCKED and compatible with my carrier bla bla bla, I wanted to upgrade the phone to one with a higher quality camera, video system for better quality pics, settled on a Samsung Galaxy A52 5G - RAM 6 GB / Internal Memory 128 GB - microSD slot - OLED display - 6.5" - 2400 x 1080 pixels - 4x rear cameras 64 MP, 12 MP, 5 MP, 5 MP - front camera 32 MP $214.49 USD

Goal is to find a screen for the Galaxy A32 5G, repair the battery cable and see if it will still function then just use for a camera and GPS recorder, extra dash cam worse case it will also need a battery.

That's a map of the Arizona Peace Trail, I was excited when I downloaded the GPX and loaded it into Google Earth with all my GPX files from past trips and discovered I had already ridden the trail BEFORE it was officially created plus about 3k more miles of trails that spider off the AZPT

No I don't know them hoser.
But funny thing is...I worked on the new Austral Brick Kilns back in the 80's. Built the actuall kilns and assembled all the special mobile track train/carts that travel through it.
All imported components from Germany from memory.
Like an Ikea Brickworks! :-)

I helped build the local brick plant here back in the late 80's, some of the components, the design, prints, burners, and other stuff like the computer systems came from France forget the correct spelling but it sounds like Sharike or Shareik, 6 or so weeks ago they had a car derail and damaged the inside of the kiln pretty badly, they bought in people from the original manufacture as well as people from Brickworks who is the current owners of the plant to advise and get the kiln back up and running. Its kicking out brick again!

My end was the sheet metal stuff, all the ventilation, supply air, circulating air for the kiln as well as the heat and A/C for the control room, equipment, offices, lunchroom, bathrooms etc. the plant is showing its age, Brickworks is committed to make it the best of the best plant as there is as there are only two brick plants in Illinois left. Sounds like you did all the "Millwright" work. (installing the mechanical stuff)

Wife is spending the week in Pennsylvania in meetings hopefully she returns with good news :-)
