G'Day All, my 90 model Pilot(69th one last made) finally arrived last week in PERTH West Australia, from Socal. Took 5 F@#$%N months to get here, after some stuffups and a lot of excuses, was a very worried man who gained a few more greys. It went by ship to Melbourne (east coast) then trucked about 3,000 miles to PERTH (west coast)
Fair bit of transit damage to fenders etc, but scrubbed up alright.
Nukem you now have a choice between the 89 modified,or this 90 stocker to ride if and when you come DOWNUNDER.Just waiting on some better weather now, have drought breaking rains to go thru,so I can head up to Lancelin for some testing and fun. :-) Baz

I have heard of the "Slow boat to China", maybe this was it's second or third stop after China??

The nuns in school always taught us that patience is a virtue, it seems to have paid off in this case.

Yeah Hoser, I'd like to know why it took 5 months as well! It was delivered to the holding depot in Pomona Socal on the 24th March, specifically, so that it would be loaded into sea container within 24hrs, thus eliminating any potential "waiting time damage, weather damage etc.... For some reason it didn't get loaded 1st time and possibly 2nd time as well. Numerous phone calls, just resulted in numerous excuses.
Hey Drakman,I think the slow boat to China must have actually dropped off the Pilot to the" Chinese Factory Copy Shops" on it's 1st time thru, then picked it up on the 2nd run thru to Melbourne. Hmmm not a bad idea actually,
would bring down the high current used prices, and make them more affordable. I wonder how much the Chinese would quote me to mass produce some? Sure would please the masses. Now where's my chinese phone book? :-) Baz
