Out at Alain's place I played with one for a while, it actually isn't as odd as I thought it would be. I can actually keep my thumb and fore finger on the wheel and reach the shifter with the heel of my hand.

After a couple of days of riding the Tiger, I will probably be trying to shift the truck with the turn signal stalk.

All this talk of a shifter car reminds me of one I had that was a very low slung sidewinder with a Yammy TT 500 stroker single that I ran on a banked oval track. It had the clutch lever on a right hand shifter but I only used the clutch for first gear & stopping. These bike engines shift very well up & down without the clutch by just letting off the gas for a microsecond. I sure had a blast with it as it'd carry the left front tire off the ground through the power slide then if track conditions were really good lift the other down the straightaway through a shift. What a HOOT!
