Looks like they still need a new sales/marketing dept. I like it though. I would like to see it next to a drakart for a performance comparison.

Agreed that was very amateur video and presentation but then again it was not all hyped up, fake yuppytized crapola, my Pilots don't get traction like that car did on grass them tires much have some bite.

I saw the car at the Sand Sports Super Show and overall I think they will sell well. It looks like they are off to a good start and I shared some of my observations/suggestions with the one of the reps. The ones I shared were well received. Unfortunately, I was not able to sit in the car, as they had a problem at a previous show, where the car was cosmetically damaged.

They had a partially assembled chassis next to the completed car. I noticed the roof section was not square, but rather it was bent as if it had not been properly supported, if at all, in the jig. I was not able to share this information as there were too many people around talking to the reps.

I further noticed, on the partially completed chassis, there were signs of tube dimpling near the tube bends.

The drive and driven clutches looked to be out of the alignment, as viewed from the back of the vehicle looking down and towards the front the drive clutch. It reminded me of my Drakart clutches before I had them fixed by C-Moore Off-Road.

The Engine uses rubber mounts, but they felt like they were too flexible when you, lightly rock Engine, which, if the Engine was operating, would seem to further aggravate the drive to driven clutch alignment issue.

I did not particularly like the plastic, floor mounted, fuel cell that was in front of the seat and in between the driver's legs. I was reassured by the rep, it's safe and has not been a problem in any of their testing. He also noted it holds 5.5 gallons.

The Engine uses a dry-sump oil system, thus no oil pan but rather a frame-mounted oil container. I suggested they add a drain bolt/valve to the oil tank to facilitate oil changes. The rep agreed and stated they will look into it.

The body panels are riveted on. Attaching tabs and using fasteners to facilitate servicing and/or replacing damaged parts would be more customer-friendly. The rep advised me they looked into it but the rivets were less expensive as well as easier and quicker to install, however he agreed fasteners would be a better choice from a service standpoint.

The exhaust silencer is incredibly huge and needs to be reduced in size: I was advised it was a prototype and they (Redline Engineers) are concerned over noise and want it to be quiet, but they were working on an alternative design.

Part availability; particularly front and rear suspension parts. Not to mention brakes, belts and other wear items. They state they will provide the necessary service support as demanded by the customers.

it does look cool,Have they tumbled it a few times, this would show what stuff would really hold up to, like gas tank etc. did the guy seem irritated because you were pointing out flaws? also wouldn't let anyone sit in it, hmmmm, 100 bux worth of body plastic to not let people sit in it, seems like a poor sales program there....kind of like going to buy a car and they wont let you test drive till they can smell your money....

"I was not able to sit in the car, as they had a problem at a previous show, where the car was cosmetically damaged. "

That is BS how they expect to sell something if you cant set in it, I wouldn't own one if I could easily damage something just getting in and out, scuffs and scratches are part of the game heck 50% of the scuffs on my 400EX rear fender came from buddy's wanting to set on it and drug their foot across the fender no big deal I went through this with all my ATVS...

You want to see cage tubes that are placed wrong you should take all the coverings off your Drakart and take a look I got some pics some place I have been taking of Drakart frames over the years that shows how bad they really are along with the pigeon shit welds they gob on, I haven't found a single weld on a Drakart any welding inspector would pass.

You have any pics?

I hope these guys listen to you and others looks like you pointed out a bunch of important stuff, this "engineer" thing they keep spewing in their advertisements means nothing I have worked with "engineers" since I was 16 they need all the outside observations and feed back they can get, they are smart but they also carry a whole different mind set than non engineers and don't see things the way we do, most of the best thinkers and problems solvers I have met in my life were the hands on guys not designers or engineers how ever the engineers were used to confirm their ideas.

I have been to plenty of HVAC trade shows over the years usually after about 5 hrs the people working in the booth become numb and what you suggest to them goes in one ear and out the other I found it best to call them on the phone 2 week later "I talked to you at the show but you seem distracted" then they listen and seem greatfull for the feed back and questions.

They say anything about a belt guard to protect the clutched?

How about lowering that hood has any of them ever driven a Pilot or Odyssey, where they located maybe I cant take mine to them for a test spin?

The only gas tank I would accept between my legs would be a metal wrapped fuel safe fuel cell, prices start at about 700 bux for a tank like this.

On the 'sales' side of things.

Maybe that is why he didn't bring it by my place, I was expecting to try it out, at least to some degree. I also told him some of the comments I got back after I posted the brochure, and they didn't seem to set very well. I would figure that this is the finished product, as he said they are starting production.

With that 750 Weber Engine, and the future potential of a turbo, I was really thinking of getting one of these, but now I don't think so.
