I am searching for a secondary heating system for my garage/basement, I already have electric baseboard in my basement -would like not to use it, uses too much electricity. My heating and cooling guy has told me after a inspection of my unit that I cant use registers in the forced hot air system in the basement, hence the search.I came across this system on the internet-they say it uses less electricity-does not get hot-and does not reduce humidity or oxygen.Any input on it would be appreciated.

www.edenpure.com is the site.

This is a very interesting heater. I'm interested in one myself for my office.

It seems to be great for a space like my garage, I cannot run gas in there(townhome assoc rules really stink) and really don't want to wire in a set of electric basebords in there, it is insulated but not good-propane and kerosine arent an option and I would of coarse like to keep costs down.My father in law has told me a buddy through the ELKS has 1 and highly recoomends it, his energy bill did not increase as drasticly as when using electric baseboards(which I already have in my basement) and the unit supposedly increases and decreases the wattage used when needed-thus keeping the costs down.

My only thing is the cost, 400 I think for it plus shipping and the technology on it seems very new, I would like a HVAC or heating cooling guy input on it before making final decision

Top of the list: http://www.biotechresearch.com/epure_heater.php

Just so happens that I have been thinking about this little unit for my basement workshop area. It seems to have a lot of hype surrounding it which I don't like and also came across one of those 1hr long informmericials last night on it.

I also found this http://www.purehealthresource.com/pages ... eater.html

And this one had free shipping:
