Lee or anyone else out there have any info on the new crf150r clutch problems?
I am looking at one for my son but don't want any clutch trouble.

Stone, sorry for the delay, too much work.

Answer to your question is wait 6 months.

The clutch is not a known issue. There are very few of them on the radar, similar numbers to most other bikes. Best guess for the clutch is synthetic oil or riding it like a 2 stroke.

However there are reports of cam shafts breaking, wheel damage and swing arm cracks. Bottom line is the 150R has power to match the CR85 and it has torque. It’s a great combination but they seam to be getting a little more of a beating than anticipated. They made these for several months and shoved them in to a ware house. Then at the dealer convention in September they had some stock for the dealers to order (unlike some video games). Now that the bike is released there is an opportunity to resolve some problems and feed that in to the manufacturing process.
