I got bored waiting for steel to come in for a work related project. So I dug through the trash and made my own mini light bar. originally these bars are about 5 feet long, this one is roughly 20 inches.

What is a good compound to use to rejeuvenate those clear covers?

I have a Whalen Light bar that's Blue that needs a shine to clear the plastic up with.

A light bar and a couple large stickers that say "OFFICIAL" or "TRAIL PATROL"
should be enough to keep people from calling me in as I ride the illegal trails.

And a few antennas and a jacket with a generic patch over the heart.

They'll assume your suppose to be there. :)

Problem is in this state a blue light violation is like $5K in fines. But that's for on road.

I would not want to give the illusion I was some sort of law enforcement agency in any state
unless I had nothing better to do and was looking for problems, they created the character
of Barney Phife for a reason haha

Regular car buffing compound (ultra fine) will do the job. just keep the buffer RPM around 2K and keep the surface moist. Clean the bonnet regularly to avoid paste build up and to prevent scratches.
motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) vehicle code here is also any red forward facing light is illegal on the highway. Off road is a different story. It can be determined by the officer, but generally if you start to pretend your a cop (pull someone over) you'll get busted.

Oh I was just playing around. I would never try that.

Its sort of a play on assumption and peoples perception.

Besides you'd get shot at.

I had a trailblazer light bar (8 forward 100 watt halogens, 6 backwards and one to each side) on my toyota monster truck for ten years and was pulled over many times by podunk sheriffs and police who were clueless to the law regarding these.

They look just like a police light bar, but are clear and more streamlined and when the cover is on they are considered nothing more than a covered off-road driving light, but I always had trouble telling that to the Barney Phiffe/Cletus types.
