What you Gentlemen are looking at is a Concept One from Dune Runner Manufacturing. I was the proud owner of one of these buggies for about ten years until I sold it to a young lady in Kanab Utah. I sold it to buy a 64 VW Notchback. I regret selling it now because the Notchback although worth more wasn't as cool!

Short Wheelbase and with a good sized motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )). it wheelied pretty easily. Only about 900 of these were made!

I bet it would be fun on the dunes with about a 60hp Engine.

So what's it worth ?

How much did the body kit cost new ?

I'm not a VW guy so how much would a decent motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) set me back ?

Yep just what I need another project....

Dennis

Whats it worth?
Lets see.....

1.) It might be worth 1500 with a new motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) in it. A turn key motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) all depending on displacement can run anywhere from 1500 to ?

2.)Look like there is some serious pan rot happening under there. Plan on a couple hundred bucks a side for new pans and a lot of cutting on replacement pan side to get them to fit. These pans and tunnel had to be cut about a foot shorter for this body to fit on it.

3.) The rear Engine cover has been cut short on one side. These are impossible to come buy.

4.) The body in the rear has a couple of holes cut in it for the gas tank that should exit from the side of the body.

How much was the body kit new?
I have no clue how much the body kit new was. These were made back in the 70's.

Unless you are an experienced VW guy, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Subaru WRX motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) would go in it.
Flat 4 boxer Engine with a snail attached. Power city!!!

They are oil lines for an external oil cooler. Had some cooling issues running around in the summer heat so I remotely mounted the oil cooler and placed cooling fans on top.

That just too cool. If I had it I would install a ladder rack and use as a service truck. Nothing like off roading all day long.
